It is an accented cousin of Ferrania P30, has the same high silver content and inherently strong contrast. The grain is practically invisible, and its mantain characteristic is being ortochromatic.
USAGE TIPS:
SHOOT AT THE SENSITIVITY INDICATED ON THE BOX: common films are very flexible to exposure variations, buta Ferrania Orto is based on a classic formula, which responds best if you shoot at the nominal 50 ISO sensitiviy indicated on the box.
MAKE YOU SCANS: the film has a very contrasty image rendition, which is why a classic lab scan might produce hypercontrast and "blocked" images. Try if possible to scan yourself, or give directions to your lab.
HAVE FUN: these films are created to be "enjoyed" and not scanned. Feel free to ignore the rules and give free rein to creativity and experimentation. Share with you the result you get!
